Some songs won't download and stall ALL further downloads

Hi,

I have a lot of music on my 64 gb iPhone which I specifically bought for Spotify.

For me, it is not unusual to add, say, 20 albums as playlists on a weekend, organized in various folder structures, and set them to download.

(I have a boring desk job.)

The problem I have had lately is that when, among all those albums, there is just one song that will not download, the whole thing stalls.

Nothing gets downloaded anymore, until I find the playlist that contained this one song and delete it.

It would appear that this can be any song, not necessarily underground stuff.

This is really frustrating and time consuming.

-> Is there any good way to deal with this problem?

Sounds like some particularly weird behavior.  If you haven't tried it yet, you could perhaps you could benefit from a Clean Reinstallation (click here for a guide).

Cheers,

Nick

Also, you could possibly be hitting a total track download limit as discussed in this post: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-iOS-iPhone-iPad/Waiting-To-Download-iPhone-won-t-download-offl...

Hello Nick,

thanks for trying to help.

I tried reinstalling Spotify, but to no avail.

Yeah, I had that hypothesis about the limit as well.

However, it won't download, even if I delete some playlists.

It is only when I find that one song (that bad apple that spoils the bunch) that the downloading continues.

And then it will download any number of songs...
