Song Tempo Changing Every Time iPhone Screen Goes to Sleep/Wakes Up

Hello,

Every morning when I go to the gym, I connect my airpods and listen to Spotify. Let me walk through my issue so it's helpful to understand the problem.

1. Wake up iPhone X and connect airpods (by just taking them out of case)

2. Open Spotify and play music

Here are where the issues play in

• After I start playing the music, for about 1-2 seconds, the tempo of the song slows and then goes back to normal
• Once the screen turns off (sleep mode), the song tempo slows again for 1-2 seconds.
• Every time I get a notification (always keep my phone on vibrate) the screen obviously turns on to show the notification, and the song then slows for 1-2 seconds again.
• Once the screen turns back off after the notification back to sleep, the song slows again for 1-2 seconds. 

The ONLY way to fix this is forcefully restarting my phone EVERY day which is getting bothersome and is very unnecessary.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Could you also try updating to iOS 12.3.1?

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
