Song starts playing but no audio produced

My Question or Issue

I have noticed that occasionally I will tap on a song, the playhead/progress slider will start moving as if the song is playing but there's no sound coming out. When this happens if I force quit the app and restart it then tap the song it will play.

Could you try to perform a clean reinstallation of the app on your phone. This involves clearing the app data. Check out this guide for the relevant steps.
