Song suddenly advances and skips

My Question or Issue

I was listening to a song when suddenly it advances 15 seconds, and then keeps on changing  onto different songs. Since I was on a bus, there’s no way another device has linked to mine, and this has happened before. What I found weird is that this started happening when my sister opened her spotify app on her phone, i don’t know if it has something to do but we’re on the same family plan.

I need a solution as soon as possible, thanks.

Thanks for confirming. 

One great thing about Premium for Family is that everyone on the plan gets their own, unique Spotify account and they get to listen without interruption.

What happened here is that everyone on the plan is using the same Spotify account. If one of the members don't have their own Spotify account, please make them create a new one here. If they do have a Spotify account - then there should be an option to link that Spotify account to your plan.

We were not using the same account. We both have different ones.
