My Question or Issue

When using the spotify LG TV app accessing our spotify account off a IPhone 13 Promax the last 5-10 seconds of the playing song is cut off and the next song begins. It happens regardless of the playlist or song, and happens for every song. The problem does not persist using the iphone Bluetoothed, cast, or through the phone itself, only in combination with the TV. Using a Samsung S21 linked to the TV there is no problem. We have already tried to remedy the problem by adjusting "gapless" "crossfade" and "automix" audio options.

Hi I'm having the same issue of songs cutting off before the end lg cx 

I'm having the same problem using Spotify Connect on my SKY Q box, this only started a week or so ago, it's the same whether using my Laptop or my Samsung phone.

Same thing as everyone else. LG TV. It cuts off 10 seconds of song length when upcoming song pops up.

Having the same issue with LG TV OLED65B9PVA. Tried all the troubleshooting guidelines, which doesn't help at all. It is super annoying to have all songs cut off before the ending. If this persists I will likely not continue using Spotify.

The same issue is happening here. I have already tried all the above troubleshooting steps attached above. 

 

This issue is current and reoccurring. The last time was at 8:40pm AEDT

 

As the file size maximum is 5 MB I am unable to upload a video. As mentioned by other users, the issue seems to happen when the "Up Next" comes up in the top left corner. The song goes from being 3:18 to 3:10. See attached screenshots.

After two weeks, many "me too" replies, 16 likes, some topics merged, and a few replies from the moderator asking for information already available in the thread... still no sign of a solution.

Same problem. Songs cut off last 10 secs or so randomly.

Same problem here songs skip to next 10-15 secs before end on LG OLED55C8PLA webOS 4.4.2-11. What's more when I cast music to Cyrus One Cast I have the same. But if I use Android app and connect using bluetooth such thing doesn't occur. 

Also having this issue on my LGOLED65CX. Stopping songs about 10 seconds before they should end. Started noticing a few weeks ago. Very annoying!

Have been losing my mind too, LG SJ8 soundbar skips just as described. 

Two weeks later and lots of people with the problem but still no issue has been created. A fundamental function of Spotify is affected: play music tracks - in full length and not just in parts - and nothing happens. This is the first time I'm disappointed with Spotify.

By the way, prices are rising and quality is falling. Has anyone ever heard of “skimflation”?

I can confirm this is also happening to me. Glad to see that it isn't an isolated issue, but less enthused to see the issue still isn't solved.

Issue: Spotify TV app regularly cuts tracks short by about 10 seconds. This happens when choosing the music on the TV app and choosing the music through my phone (Samsung) and laptop (MacBook Pro) to be played on the TV app.

Occurrence: 22:00 GMT

Troubleshooting: Uninstalling and reinstalling WebOS app.

Sporify cuts off last 5-10 seconds of each song, it's very annoying.

Reinstall didn't help.

Lack of action and the pace it's taking is just astounding really, I work as an IT network administrator, and if I'd have such reaction time for over 70 problem reports, I'd simply lose my job. You really are NOW gathering only info about the system? Really? Just so you know, that as it's utterly hard to raise an technical issue report directly to tech support (or it is really impossible, hard to guess now, since I've been looking and this is the only way I seem to be able to report it), support service of Spotify is so lackng, that I can only compare it to Activision-Blizzard, where it's comically low.

I take it that your Spotify app available on webOS lg store, it is yours to handle, thus all TOS applies to it fully, and in case of issue being found on Spotify side (so the TOS part saying that you're not accountable for 3rd party app/device related issues doesn't apply?), Spotify is willing to recompensate for time that the service was not provided fully without any notification, and with really - inproper response time for a raised complaints from users?

 

I have issues on LG webOS TV 05.30.40. both when played directly from TV App or when cast from Android 13.

I did follow all the troubleshooting steps from both Spotify and LG side mentioned in this thread.

 

As per screens provided by people in previous replies, it's seen that at some point in the song, last few seconds are rounded down, thus leading in the song to be played incompletely, so it is in my case.

the issue doesn't happen if casted from a laptop

I'd love to know if anyone else has tried putting the lyrics on and see the playback issues.

30 seconds or so in, the lyrics and the timer will skip about 10 seconds ahead but the music keeps playing without issue - so that the song 'ends'  and the next one look it starts playing but it hasn't, because the first song is still finishing.

 

Attached video of it skipping into the song by itself - 5mb max limit so had to compress.

 

It's such a strange issue - skipping ahead without the music actually changing.

Would really love some more response from Spotify on this. Paying the ever increasing rates for a service that can't fully function

Same issue here. The songs’ duratuons are rounded down to the nearest ten seconds. For example, a song that lasted 2:31  suddenly showed it only lasts 2:30 and a song that lasted 3:28 suddenly lasted only 3:20.

 

One thing I noticed is that the rounding happens exactly when there is 30 second left from the original duration and the next song appears on the upper right corner of the screen! I paused the song when this happened and rewinded it to the beginning, but the original duration did not come back, it stayed in the shortened version.

 

Happens both when using Spotify straight from TV and when casting from iPhone.

Same here, music timer seems to be cut at the TV (attached screenshots 2:50 on tv vs 2:59 in app - I’m not connected to the tv btw)

(you can imagine the attached screenshots since this community app in mobile is the worst thing to use, good luck to whoever is debugging this)

Just adding myself to the list of users with the same problem on LG TVs. The TV app always rounds down the last seconds of a songs to the next 10s, 20s, .. 50s mark. This happens short after the 'next song' message appears on the screen - so approximately 20 seconds before next track should follow. Broadcasting through other devices or play directly on TV seems to have the same effect.
