Songs will not play at 0:0:0

Since the update to the latest build, my Spotify is acting up. Songs will not play from the start unless I skip forward a few seconds.
A couple notes:
- these are problems that only came up after the most recent update (iOS 6.8.0.3786)
- i have only seen this occur with Offlined songs (which have been redownloaded as a troubleshooting step)
- this occurs when phone is on cellular network, wifi, and offline (airplane mode).
- it is not consistent behavior which has lead to difficulties to self-troubleshoot
