Spotify Premium Crashing on Startup

I just signed up for the trail of spotify premium and now spotify is unresponsive and i have to force quit or it quits as soon as it starts. I tried uninstalling and restarting my comp and I still have the same problem. This happens on both my home laptop (mac book pro) and work computer (iMac). The web player and my app on my android run just fine.

Can you try:

- Completely disconnecting from the Internet (so deactivate WiFi or pull that old fashioned cable out!)

- Launching Spotify (which should start in offline mode).

- Log out of Spotify

- Reconnect to the Internet.

- Log back into Spotify

 

Does that work?

PROBLEMS SUBSCRIBING PREMIUM

Hello,

I have some problems subscribing to premium as well.

Got a PC Windows 7, basic internetbrowser firefox.

As i push the button "suscribe to premium", i get a page where i have to log into spotify.
When i enter my user name & password (both correct!!), i get OR an error message (whithout Code) OR i get back the empty login page,

(so my username and password aren't accepted, even though the're correct).

I can't login with facebook, since i use an other email for that.

If I click on the green suscribe button for Premium, automatically the Internet Explorer browser starts up,

whereas my main browser is Firefox. Would that be the problem??

Strange, is your Firefox up to date? Just to confirm you are entering your username and password not your email address?

  • Yes i'm using my username not email.
  • yes firefox has just been automatically updated a week ago.
  • in the pas i had an other spotify account, would that be the problem? I used a different emailadres,pasword and username though.
