Spotify automatically save songs to my 'songs' playlist

My Question or Issue

For some reason, Spotify is automatically adding/saving songs to my 'song' playlist. That means songs I do not recognize/have not heard of before. How do I stop this phantom saving of songs?

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstallation of the app. Just follow the steps here. Doing a security check up wouldn't be bad, too 🙂

There is definitely no accident. It just magically appears for some reason. I am on Spotify version: 8.4.53. Using Spotify on iOS version: 11.3
