Does your iPad do this with any other apps cause I have heard of ipads having this problem before? and if any how many songs to you have stored offline because if you have a lot that could maybe cause crashes

- Only Spotify crashes

- I've tried with having offline files and also not having ANY offline files... still crashes

-USUALLY happens when a song changes but not always

...it just crashed again....

Does giving your iPad a quick reboot by holding the home and lock buttons together until the apple logo appears on screen and then trying again make any difference?

It is tricky, as Spotify no longer officially support iOS 5.

Nope.... forgot to mention I tried that too

I've also had the same program with my first generation iPad, along with other apps. After looking at the diagnostic logs it appears that the iPad doesn't have enough memory to support a lot of applications anymore. Which really sucks, because now it's kind of useless. I tried everything from disabling iCloud, turning of fnotifications, to deleting all other apps. 5.1.1 was a major killer for the first generation iPad and Apple won't to do anything for it. The only solution here is to upgrade your iPad. As in buy a newer iPad. Seriously. Or you could downgrade your iPad and go to a different iOS version but that's a hassle. Sorry mate, I feel your pain! 😞

Arriving late in this discussion, but can't see any solution provided. I've had this same issue for a long time. Today I changed my music quality setting from Extreme to High/Normal and it actually stopped crashing. Just played a couple of albums yet, but previously it used to crash after 2-4 songs... Hope this helps. Cheers.
