Spotify does not find chromecast

Today I bought the Chromecast 2 in the presumption that I could cast my Spotify music to my TV. The thing is that the Spotify app on my iPhone 6 and my iPad Mini 4 just cant find/see the chromecast device.

I did everything I could find online to configure it in the right way:

- latest updates on google cast app and spotify app > check

- have premium Spotify account > check

- configure Chromecast > check

- connect through same wifi network > check

I have no problems with casting youtube, that just works fine.

So the Chromecast isn't broken. So why does it not work with Spotify?

Any suggestions anyone?

Try restarting the Chromecast and the Spotify App.

If this is not workig:

Reset the Cromecast and try again.

Thanks for your reply Jonas.

I tried all that, several times actually, but no luck.

Fortunately I just found the solution myself. They say that the Chromecast supports the 5 Ghz. wifi bandwidth, but that turned out to be the issue. When I swapped back to the 2.4 Ghz. bandwidth the problem was solved. I can now cast my spottify to my TV (and so on to my homecinema set).
