Spotify keeps pausing in middle of song

Spotify keeps randomly pausing in the middle of songs. After it pauses, when I look at the lock screen, Spotify isn’t there anymore and after I go into the app, the song has restarted from the beginning. I have to resume it only for it to pause and restart again later in the song. This only happens on my iPhone X and works fine on all my other devices. 

I have tried:

• Restarting the app
• Restarting the phone
• Deleting and re-installing the app
• Turning off data saver
• Turning off low power mode on the phone
• Made sure it's not a Bluetooth problem because it still happens when playing on only the phone's speakers
• Keeping the app up to date 
• Keeping the phone up to date 
• Signing out everywhere (on all devices)

I have already tried looking for other community posts but none have fixed my problem so I contacted customer support but only received an automated message telling me to go back on Spotify community to see if my question has been answered in return. This problem has been really frustrating because it makes it impossible to play music from my phone so if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
