Spotify on iOS is blocked but not play.spotify.com at work

My Question or Issue

At work I can't use Spotify on their wifi. Apple Music is not blocked, nor is Tidal, Deezer, or anything else, so I'm just having trouble with Spotify, which is by far my preferred platform. If you use a desktop, or even use my phone, play.spotify.com is not blocked, but you can't use play.spotify.com on a phone, it redirects you to the app. The app never connects, however.

Is there any setting that I can change that's invisible in the app to maybe use the web address and/or ports instead of whatever the app is trying to use?

I'd suggest consulting the IT department to change the network settings for the connection you use on your iPhone.
