Spotify on iPhone 4S radio advertisement causes complete music interruption

I'm posting this for my brother,
He has an iPhone 4S iOS 8.1 and uses Spotify Free, Radio and every once in a while when an advertisement comes up, it interrupts the music and prevents from starting the radio back up? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem with my iPad 2 also running IOS 8.1(still have to update to 8.2). Everytime an advertisement passes by, spotify kind off crashes after the first ad. It's started about a week ago, seeming to be very random and I really haven't got a clue why this is happening. It gets even more random because sometimes the whole thing stops and sometimes there's no problem at all.

Please help!
