Spotify prompts to open in "App Store" instead of the Spotify App

My Question or Issue

Alright, so I'd really like to get an answer as to why when I copy and send a song link to another iPhone user via iMessage, that when the receiver of the iMessage attempts to open the link through iMessage it prompts them to open the song in the "App Store" rather than in the Spotify app they have on their phone.

First, update your iPhone to the latest software, iOS 12.1.

Click the promot ‘open in App Store’ and it will open the App Store and should immediately open Spotify after bouncing to the App Store.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps. I'd also recommend checking and installing the latest updates available 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
