Spotify stops playing from playlist with cross fade turned on

When I use a playlist and have cross fade turned on, spotify stops playing when switching to a new song. Not every time it switches, but about every third time.

I have tried to reinstall the app.

I have made a "home button + turn off key start up"

My phone is an iphone 4

The spotify version is 0.9.3.212

Do you have any local files synched over from your computer in the iOS app?

No, the local files folder in the iPhone app is empty. The playlists are created on the computer (windows xp) and I have added some songs in the app itself.

As mentioned above - Playlists does not continue to the next song with crossfade turned on. 

A more detailed description, using numbered steps

1. Set cross fade to 12 seconds

2. Set cross fade to 10 seconds

3. Tried to play in offline mode

What I expected to happen

The playlist to continue with cross fade to the next song
