Spotify stops playing when I open Whatsapp

My Spotify stops playing music when I switch to Whatsapp. The only way I am able to resolve the issue is by quitting the Whatsapp application and then restarting it.

Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.

If you're still having trouble, send me a screen recording of this happening with sound so I can take a closer look.
