Spotify will connect to google home mini but will not play

My Question or Issue

I've had an ongoing issue for over a month now. Spotify will not play on my Google Home Mini or any of the Google devices in my house. I can use the options to connect to devices in the app and hear the tone affirming connection, but after that silence. Occasionally, I can say "play" and it'll start playing the audio I cast. It's a weird and annoying bug. I've tried restarting, unlinking, deleting, signing out etc. All other cast apps work just fine. It's only Spotify that has an issue.
