Spotify will no longer play in the background after yesterday's update?

I am on IPAD (after giving up on MAC after numerous problems following an update last year) - yesterday downloaded the latest update for Spotify and now it won't continue to play in the background when I use other apps (ie - games).  It was fine until I downloaded the latest update.  Any help available?  Turned off the sound on the other app, still no luck.  Have now moved Spotify to my phone.  This is ridiculous 🙂

Sometimes there is an iOS glitch that stops backround playback of Spotify.

Open up the app switcher and close out of all the apps you see. Then relaunch Spotify and see if it will work in the background.
