Spotify will not play music, says it's a premium feature

Hi, Spotify on my iPhone has not been able to play any music, and whenever I try hitting the "shuffle play" button, a message pops up saying that it is "a premium feature". On top of that, all of the music in Spotify are greyed out and cannot be played. Is this something that only happens for users on a free account? Or is there some way to fix this problem?

Sorry to hear you are having issues with Spotify.


It is weird that this happening, have you tried logging out and in again?

I have already tried signing out and signing back in, and have also reinstalled the Spotify application multiple times, but the issue is still recurring. I'm also running a version of Spotify on my Mac, and that version appears to be working fine.

Do you have access to a second account you could try on the same device and see if the issue occurs then?




Just created a new account, still the same problem though. Looks like it might have something to do with my phone.
