Spotify won’t play music on CarPlay

My Question or Issue

Hi!

When I connect my iPhone to CarPlay and put music on through Spotify, it plays for two seconds before the music stops. On the car display it looks as if the music is still playing as the song goes on but no sound is coming. Connecting through Bluetooth. 

I have tried everything from re-installing Spotify, clearing cache, ‘forgetting’ the device on the phone and the car, tried with USB, updating software on the phone etc etc. Siri is activated, Apple Music and YouTube works fine and even trying with another phone works but with mine it doesn’t. It worked fine for a couple of days but now I can only get the music to play for 2 second before it’s muted. 

Any suggestions on how to solve this issue or to troubleshoot? I’m running out of ideas to try.
