Track information over bluetooth connection - Audi MMI 3G Plus

Track information over bluetooth connection - Audi MMI 3G Plus

Hello everyone,

I recently rented an Audi A1 that allowed me to play Spotify through bluetooth and I also had the track information in the entertainment system screen. This was awesome and I thought it would be present to in my new Audi Q5, but in the Q5 I do not use to get track information from Spotify, but sometimes I do! (a couple of times, I do not know why...).

Anyone has the same situation? I really loved this because I do not need to have the iPhone in front of me to know what song is playing... Is this something that has to be solved by Audi or by Spotify?

Thanks for your help!

I have the same problem with Porsche PCM

I have a Pioneer nav unit and have the same problem. Very rarely (maybe 1 in 100 connections) I'll get the track info on the radio.

The official Spotify thread for iOS Bluetooth song/track info issues is here: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Bugs/iOS-Bluetooth-Metadata-is-not-transmitted/m-p/397324#M1108

May want to add your 2 cents there.

I had the same problem. Now with the new Update spotify does not work at all...

Have the same problem with my BMW M135 (new PCM). I hope spotify will find a solution to fix this bug.

I have this problem too.  I usually get the metadata for the first song, but this then sticks. Using any of the touchscreen or steering wheel controls other than play/pause immediately kicks playback into the iOS Music app.

Standard media unit/display, 2013 Volkswagen Golf 'Mark 7' TDI.

iOS version: 7.1 (11D201)

Spotify (for iOS) version: 1.1.0

I have exactly the same problem. It works well with the first song.

But I have no problem to navigate.

From what I checked, there's a bug request opened and you might want to follow up more details over here:
