Unable to install Spotify from App Store (install button is grey)

My Question or Issue

My son has never been able to install spotify on his older iphone or on his new.

When I first made his account on itunes I mistiped the birthdate, but had that changed with apple ove a year ago. He's 14, I just bought him a brandnew Iphone SE 128GB because he's really into music, but now on the new phone the same issue. The icon for download is greyed out in the app store. When I install the ipa file using itunes it shows on the iphone but no spotify icon just a black icon and the name. I could really use some help in resolving this.

That is odd. 

Could you try a clean reinstall of the Spotify app? If that doesn't help, please let me know your device name and iOS version so I can take a look.
