Sorry to hear the suggestions didn't work. Regarding your listening history, to clarify, some info (like your Search results) will be removed with the app when you delete it but your Recently Played or the listening-data contributing to your Made for You playlists stay untouched. At this point, it'd be good to try with a thorough (as opposed to a simple) reinstall of the app.
It'd also be good to access a different Spotify account with the same iPhone XS you've had this issue with to see if you can reproduce it. This will help us confirm if the issue is related to the device or the account itself.
