Unknown author for mp3 files

When I add an mp3 file to my phone, the artist space reads as “unknown artist” even though I made sure it has a tag for that. The weird thing is that it only does this on the song list, the artist name shows up just fine when actually playing the song. I would add a screenshot below, but it says the file format isn’t supported even though the format is png... Anyway, what is going on with this?
