Voice over with ipod shuffle 4gb

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started using my iPod shuffle with Spotify and I love how easy it is to get new music synced up with it.

The main issue that I’m having is that there seems to be no way to enable voice over on the shuffle. By voice over I mean holding down the centre button for a few seconds and having the song name and artist read out.

Is there a way to enable this or are there any plans to implement it ?

I can't think of anyway to enable that feature inside Spotify. 

I have often wondered how the voice over system works, whether or not the iPod just reads the metadata of the files or if it is somehow intelligently generated by iTunes when you sync your iPod. My guess is it is the latter, does it work when you sync with iTunes?

It works with Itunes, but there is a tick box that has to be selected for it to be enabled on the shuffle. 

At the moment it just reads what playlist is being played which is what happens on Itunes if voice over hasn’t been enabled.
