first go to settings, then playback, then click on equalizer and put all whe white notches to max. If that doesn't work go to settings then music quaity and there should be some buttons to be able to download music at better quality. If those don't work then i don't know anymore.
I had this exact problem, it was an easy fix. Try rebooting, then go into settings > music > and check "Volume Limit" to make sure it's not down and effecting your volume.
Why would you need to reboot to check the volume limit switch? My volume limit switch is off and the volume is still a tad too low
