What's New gone

Why in the world did you take away "What's New" feature and replace it  with "Discover", which is essentially the same thing as the Radio features (which is terrible).

You can get to whats new by clicking this link: What's New

Dunno how long it'll last though.

Simple solution to this annoyance. Implement both the What's New and the Discover pages on Spotify. The Discover doesn't really interest me much - it feels like a beta release - but I'll give it a chance, as long as it's not at the expense of the What's New page. You don't really want Spotify listeners to go elsewhere to learn of the new releases, right? Impress us, Spotify.

I see the value in "Discover" but it doesn't need to replace "What's New".  Listen to your customers and please bring it back.

Spotify,

Please try out new features like discover on beta users and early adopters first and solicit their feedback before pushing on the masses. In the meantime can you please bring back whats new or tell me how I can rollback?

It's called "progress"! There is some discussion on the ideas topic for improving the way discover works. Pop along and add your views there.

Include new tracks

Don't show content I have

Progress is the last word on a long list of words i'd use to describe Spotify.

It seemingly gets worse with each new update, considering they don't address any of the issues that need to be addressed.

Spotify is basically stealing money from its users (and bands) each month.

That is a ridiculous statement to be honest. No one forces you to pay Spotify, so how is it stealing?

Couldn't agree more.

Was shocked when "What's New" was removed.  It was the whole reason i got Spotify, so I could check out New Music....see what new albums recently dropped, expand my horizons, stay current.  Discover does not do this.

Should I now go to itunes to see what new songs and albums are out, then have to jump back to Spotify, manually do a search one-by-one?

I suspect this was removed because Spotify felt it can save royalties be steering people toward less expensive Music(?)

Extremely disappointed and strongly considering cancelling my premium service if they don't restore a reasonable interface where users can easily explore newly-release music in one place -- the reason I joined Spotify in the first place.

I just wanted to clarify that that is definitely not the case. Discover will recommend based on your listening activity mostly, as well as activity by people you're following, so it'll point you to new releases, artists you might have missed or highlight tracks other people have shared. Royalty fees aren't taken into consideration at all.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Is that the point of Radio?  For "music discovery".

I have a very diverse library and all i see on Discovery is mostly one specific genre.

Like the poster said above, do we have to go to iTunes and Amazon every Tuesday to find out the new releases?  Then go and manually search through spotify for the new relases?

Seems silly.  You guys REALLY have dropped the ball.

...once again.

I agree I may end up cancelling if this doesn't change.

Discover is definitelty not the same as What's New

As someone else replied, I used What's New to see about any and all new music

Discover only limits recommendations based on what I have listened to

Why can't both exist?

They offer different values to users

Thanks!
