What step am I missing using Spotify & Musixmatch on iPod?

Every time I try to play (on Musixmatch) a Saved Lyrics song that I added to my iPod, I am asked to connect Spotify. try to connect, and am told I can't because of no Internet.

I use Musixmatch when in the car with no internet. I have Spotify offline turned off. I can play the song on Spotify because I have downloaded it. Musixmatch keeps saying I am not connected to the Internet, and won't show me the lyric of the song I want to view and play.

Any help is appreciated!
