Why am I seeing the Shuffle Play button as premium subscriber?

Opened up Spotify in iOS today, and all of a sudden I'm seeing a big green Shuffle Play button in place of the standard Play button. I am a premium subscriber - I should not have to shuffle play albums or playlists unless I choose to do so. What happened? How do I turn this off?

Instead of playing it by hitting the shuffle play, just hit whichever song you'd like to hear. You can also turn shuffle off while playing if you're viewing the album art. See in these pictures, where the shuffle option (on the bottom left) is turned off when white, and on when the icon is green.

I understand all of that. My question is why all of a sudden my "Play" button turned into a "Shuffle Play" button? Historically on iOS, I've been able to navigate to an album or playlist and push the big green "Play" button to start listening from the 1st track. This is how it should function. This is how it functions on the desktop app.

I know what you're talking about with the play button, but I don't know a way to reliably have that show instead of just disabling the shuffle on each playlist. From the other posts about this topic, just turning off the shuffle button while viewing album art seems to be the best way

But it was never like this before. And to the best of my knowledge, there was no update to the app yesterday. Yeah I'm not satisfied with this. What's the point of having the shuffle icon if by default Spotify forces you to shuffle the album or playlist?
