I have an iPad Pro in my dash that I use just for Spotify. Video backgrounds showed up on the Mint playlist. How awesome. Two days later Spotify auto updates and they’re gone. What in the world kind of beta test is that? My vote is turn them back with the option to disable (otherwise I’ll inevitably get pulled over).

 Anyway, it was cool… for 48 hours.

This visual video layer is called Canvas and it's usually not available on tablet. We appreciate your feedback on this test. We know it might seem strange to get a new feature for only two days, but this is a great way for the developers to check if a feature is liked and worth implementing at all.

At Spotify, we’re often testing and launching improvements and new features. This means you might see something on the app your friend doesn’t, or get a new feature to try temporarily. 

Keep Spotify updated to make sure you don't miss a thing.
