behind the lyrics

i was wondering how behind the lyrics work on spotify. i have it disabled and still showing up that genius window. id like to turn it off. am i doin smth wrong?

Hope you are doing great!

It's not possible to remove Behind the Lyrics from Spotify. 

You can head to Settings > Behind the Lyrics > Off to stop Behind the Lyrics automatically displaying over the top of artwork. Users can manually bring Behind the Lyrics forward by swiping the artwork down. You can read more about this feature in this FAQ.

However, if you would like, you can submit it in Idea Submissions board or support it if this idea has been already submitted.

If you look into settings, there is an aption to turn off the behind the lyrics when available
