Solved!

iMessage in-chat sharing app vanished

Country

USA

Device

iPhone X

Operating System

iOS 14.3

The iOS iMessage app for quickly sharing songs in-chat has gone missing, perhaps due to a faulty app update. This issue was raised before, but unsatisfactorily closed by Ver, who seems to be implying that the feature has not existed, and should be suggested like a new feature. This feature does already exist, and is either currently broken (in which case we are asking for it to be fixed), or has been removed (in which case a clearer response would be desiredstating that).

The feature we're talking about looks like this:

and here's an article about it.

Hi there @nabeelsherazi,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

This feature is currently not available. We have no information if it's going to be made available to users again.

If you think others might also like to see it again, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Interesting approach. You randomly remove a feature and then tell the community to post an idea and vote for it to get it back.

Next time remove the repeat function and tell the community to post an idea to get it back.

Thanks for confirming Alex. I've created a "new idea" post to have this feature re-added here. For any other folks who stumble into this thread, please head over there and +1 it to bring it to the team's attention.
