When I upgraded my iOS to 9.2 Spotify no longer worked in the car using the USB cable. The music would play for 1 sec. And stop. The car display would shot Pandora data connection lost. Now prior to upgrading the iOS Spotify worked fine. I have discovered a work around but not the easiest.
1. Start Pandora & Soprify on the iPhone 2. Connect iPhone to car using USB cable with Pandora running 3. Start car. The car will connect to Pandora 4. Switch from Pandora to Spotify 5. RDX will show Pandora paused 6. Play song using Spotify. 7. Car will start playing song 8. Turn off Pandora 9. Car will now display iPod 10. Now you will be using Spotify and all stealing wheel controls will be working.
This is a LAME work around but it works. Spotify should create the SAME over ride that it had under the previous iOS. OR Acura needs to allow for ANY streaming service to be used? OR Apple needs to only put out a generic signal when the iPhone is connected using the USB cable, so that no matter what you are trying to connect your iPhone to using the USB cable it will be recognized & will work flaulessly. We consumers should not be put through this BS in order to connect our phones to the car!!?
