iOS App Starting up Halfway on its Own

iOS App Starting up Halfway on its Own

Hey guys. I'm on a premium subscription on an iPod 7.1 with the latest update.

My issues are twofold: First, often when earbuds are plugged in without Spotify open the app will halfway start up in the background. What I mean by this is my last track will play automatically, but when I double-click home to close the app, it's not there to be closed. This is easily fixed with a RAM reset or by opening a new video or song, or just opening Spotify and pausing it.

Secondly, when Spotify IS open and playing in the background when in sleep mode, sound will stop and the bar that shows song time/progress will skip ahead in ~30 second increments and the fast-forward/Next button will disappear entirety.

As is obvious, neither of these issues are rendering the app unusable, but I would certainly be grateful if someone could help!

Hey @dylanhalladay02, welcome to the Spotify Community!

To start, can you let us know what device, operating system, and version of Spotify you're using?

Also, have you tried to reinstall the app? Just follow these steps.

Let us know how it goes.

Hey! I'm on an iPod 7th gen running iOS 10.1. I've tried reinstalling the app, but the problem came back after about 2 days. Thanks for any help you have!
