[iOS][Other] Local Files don't work on new phone

Hi,

I love the local files feature on Spotify, very useful.

I had it working perfectly fine on my last phone, but since transferring over to an iPhone SE 2020 a month ago, I haven't been able to carry over my old local files to my new phone.

They're still there on my laptop, but appear as greyed out on my phone.

They're connected to the same wifi, I've turned on the Local Audio Files setting on my phone. Tried restarting both, I have the playlist downloaded on both. Tried going offline for a bit on both to resync. Tried changing the local file location. Tried reinstalling the app on both.

Any idea how I can get it to work, as it was great before?

Thanks,

Eddie.

Hello!

The way I found to resolve this issue is to create a brand new playlist, delete the local files from any current playlists that they're already on, and then move the local files to your newly created playlist. Then you should hit Download on your Desktop (making sure that your PC & phone are on the same wifi network) & you should then be able to access/download the files on your phone.

Update: I gave up for a bit, and checked again a week later and they were there. Just had to give it some time to process I guess 🙂
