Hello there I have a problem to my iPad 7generation when I play music it works then not even a minute it will stop the music continue playing but no sound at all.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting!

 

To get a better understanding of the situation it'd be very helpful if you could let us know:

  • Did you notice if this issue occurred after something specific for the first time (app update)?
  • Is this happening across devices, or only on the iPad?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps, such as a clean reinstall?

If this is happening when you're streaming to an external device (speaker for example) via the Connect feature, it's worth mentioning that other users are experiencing this at the moment - the timer shows music playing, but there's no sound. You can take a look at the thread here and add your details there (if it's the same issue you're experiencing) as the teams are investigating at the moment.

 

In the meantime, consider going over some troubleshooting suggested in the thread, as in this post

Same problem, ipad 7th gen. I`ve tried all, adding cross-fading1 sec. Re-installing app. Cleaning cache etc.. The app works fine on my iphone. I think the problem started when updated to ios 18.7.1.

We just wanted to confirm if your iPad's connected or streaming to a different device via Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, AirPlay or any other wireless connection method when this happens? To continue troubleshooting the issue, we'd recommend switching to another network to check if that helps. You can start a hotspot on your phone and connect your iPad to it, for example.

Meine Frage oder mein Problem

9.0.91 hat mein Spotify auf meinem iPad kaputt gemacht... es dauert ewig, die App zu öffnen und Songs abzuspielen. Songs ruckeln und pausieren. Das Laden des Albumcovers dauert ewig, genau wie beim Song... Ich habe das Gerät neu gestartet, den Cache gelöscht und die App mehrmals neu installiert, aber kein Effekt.

Die ständigen neuen Funktionen machen Spotify unbrauchbar. Ich benutze ausschließlich Apple Geräte und überlege zu Apple Music zu wechseln.

My Question or Issue

When I tap a song after opening the app it will play for 1-3 seconds and then stop. The bar will show that the song is progressing but no sound comes. If I wait, it will restart the song after about a minute. Then the song plays all the way through but when the next song in the playlist/album plays it will do the same thing. This issue doesn’t happen when I’m in offline mode. And i don’t think it’s a connection issue because this problem has happened on several different wifi networks and it doesn’t happen on my iphone 2020 SE that is always on the same wifi as my iPad. 
Occasionally if I restart the app and press play on the “now playing” icon the song will start playing as normal and the playlist or album will have no issues. But if I go to a new playlist and select a new song the problem happens again. 
I have tried logging out, deleting the app and data, and reinstalling but it still persists. Please help!

spotify will not load any songs and or takes forever to load any songs at all. 
I have rebooted iPad, deleted and app installed fresh download. Nothing helps.

sometimes it eventually plays after waiting ages for it to play. 
I have loads of storage on iPad and Spotify works perfectly on my iPhone and Alexa. Only iPad is affected 

I’ve got the same problem with Spotify on my iPad. Tried everything recommended online like emptying the cache and do a clean reinstall. But nothing works. No problem on my iPhone, it’s only on the iPad. Is there already a solution?

I have the same problem, iPad 6th gen and OS 17.7.10

Same thing has been happening to me for 2 weeks now on my ipad 6th gen. Im only listening to music via my ipad not using spotify connect and the music sometimes works if you dont skip any songs but the second you skip the song the next one doesn’t play for about 10-30 seconds even though the bar is moving. While the song buffers or whatever the entire playlist and sometimes the app goes gray and reloads. I’ve deleted the app multiple times and the same issue is still happening. i will say downloading the playlist and going offline does make the songs play better with minimal issues.
