iPhone 4S with iOS7 running Spotify with my Alpine Car Stereo over iPhone cable

Hi Everyone,

I have an Alpine car stereo with an iPhone/iPod cable attached to it. It integrates into the touch screen on the stereo itself and lets me control the device remotely. It has worked with my iPod for years. However when I plug my device (iPhone 4S with iOS7) into it, it will not let me play my spotify music. I think that it's only looking to the local iTunes library instead of Spotify as a audio provider.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Yep, I have a Hyundai sonata and I am using the iPod cable to hook into my navigation. Unusually the id4 and track info shows on my display. Since the latest update nothing shows on the display and music only plays for about 5 sec and then it disconnects from the system. Same thing happens when I unplug and plug it back in. They definitely broke something with this last update. Using 0.9.0.8 iOS 7.0.3 on an iPhone 5S.
