iPhone lock screen stuck on album art after pausing/stopping

A pretty simple, but confusing problem to bring up here. Seems as if when I hit pause to stop listening to my music, the play button remains next to the battery icon, and the album art of whatever song I was just listening to remains on the lock screen, until I play audio from another app or force quit Spotify.

Anybody else have this problem?

YES! It's been driving me crazy for a couple of weeks. It's not just Spotify, though. It happens with any audio app, like iPod, Downcast, and Audible. 

Are you jailbroken, by chance? I think I just noticed it after I jailbroke my 4s.

Hmm... for me it only happens with Spotify. And it's happened jailbroken or not.

HATE this bug.  Anyone find a way to stop this from happening?
