local files won't sync to iphone and iphone won't appear in devices on pc spotify

As the subject title says, local files won't sync to my iphone... they do appear in playlists that include them, but they are greyed out and unplayable. The playlist entitle 'Local Files' is also empty on my iphone. When i open spotify on my PC, nothing appears under the devices bit.

I have tried Logging in anf out of Spotify/ restarting my device, Both my computer and phone are connected to the same wifi, sync is set to extreme, the playlist is 'available offline' my phone is not set to offline mode, i have plenty of space on my phone and i have disabled any and all firewalls/ secuirty software and checked my router for any issues it might be presenting.

I'm having the same issue. I've restarted & reinstalled on both my computer and iPhone, disabled firewalls, ran as administrator, enabled UPnP but still no luck at all. Both my phone & apps are up to date, any ideas much appreciated.

Sometimes, creating an ad-hoc network (windows) between your computer and your mobile device can work for synching.

Tried using the ad hoc network method, still doesn't work?
