login failed

i kept on getting login failed on my iphone spotify app. it says "could not establish a connection to the spotify service. make sure your network connection is working and try again." im using a wifi at my college and it seems fine. im having a full wifi connection and i can use other apps on my phone but not on spotify. this also happens to the spotify app for my Windows. i can only open the app on the spotify web player. i asked my friend to log into my account on his phone and it worked. so i thought it was my phone thats having the problem. i had already reinstalled spotify for a few times, restart my phone and also tried to use other wifi connection but still i can't log in saying that i have connection problems. someone help me please?
