not playing streaming music iphone

Recently installed spotify on my iphone 3g. i have been a prenium customer for awhile - used spotify on my macbook.

i have made a couple of my playlists offline on m phone (around 500 tracks), but now the app seems to have hung. it says 46 out of 144 tracks syncing and it will only play offline tracks, i have no streaming audio

however my wi-fi and net is working - all the other apps on my phone seem to have internet access - 

tried switching it on and off, but nothing - don't really want to uninstall and the install again as it took ages for me to sync the off line tracks already

any suggestions?
