playlists rearranged without warning

playlists rearranged without warning

plan: free

country: united states of america

os: ios 14, windows 10

the other day, i opened spotify on desktop and noticed that my playlists had been put under any folder that was above them. for example, if i had a setup such as:

  • master playlist
  • instrumental    >
  • not my playlists    >
  • exercise playlist

then it would be changed to:

  • master playlist
  • instrumental    v
  • not my playlists    v
  • exercise playlist

i was able to put the playlists back in their correct arrangement on desktop, but since i'm unable to rearrange my playlists on mobile, i can't fix the problem there. even when i changed the order on desktop it hasn't changed on mobile. if this has happened before and you know how to fix this issue, please let me know, thank you

Hello @sparkyshark

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

To make the order on your mobile reflect the one form your desktop:

  • go to your Library
  • go to the list you’d like to filter (e.g. Playlists),
  • pull the screen down,
  • choose Filter
  • choose Custom order

Now the order should be the same as on your desktop.

You can read more on Sort and Filter feature in this support article

I hope it helps!
