spotify on an older ipod nano

I tried syncing my ipod nano (3 years old) with spotify and it would not fully work. I would sync a playlist but it said "synced local files only". I have no local files and I couldnt transfer anything into that folder. Please help, I have a 24 hour flight and I need music.

Hey there, take a look at this post about older iPods. Basically, because there's no way of getting the Spotify app on iPod Nanos, Shuffles, etc., there's no way of accessing the tracks in our catalogue. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
