when will crossfading on local tracks be available?

I've recently started using Spotify premium membership to create awesome playlists for my group fitness classes, but having no crossfading available on local tracks may be a dealbreaker.  I have to be able to crossfade to keep the energy and momentum going during my classes.  Seems like this should be available by now.  Any word on when it will be?
