Recently Played says I’ve listened to things I haven’t— but my account Has only one device

Device: iPhone SE

Operating System: iOS 10

My Question or Issue: Recently Played keeps showing me things I have definitely not listened to. I’ve changed my password multiple times and even disconnected my computer from my account just because I thought that could possibly fix things. 

 

Can someone just be frank with me and tell me if Recently Played is a marketting ploy for songs Spotify is being paid to promote? I won’t even be mad if that’s the case, I just want to know that my account is safe.

 

if it’s not, can I get information on securing my account so this stops happening?
