You are linking to version 0.8.7 which has the new white search results page. I'd link to version 0.8.5.1356 instead. The new search results page is one of the worst changes because the artist/album/playlist results are harder to read. They've placed the text inside images, and long titles are cut off - apparently "Foreign Beggars" is long enough to get cut. The old search results page does have a small issue where selecting an album/artist/playlist and then returning to search puts you back on top of the results. But it's a small issue compared to the new white search page which is more messy and harder to read.

You say you "remember your long number". That's your username, which means you have used Facebook to sign up. Log in with Facebook.

It's only if you make songs available offline. Don't touch the offline playlist feature in your 4th app and you should be fine.

On the other thread, you said that you clicked "Disconnect from Facebook". You are not supposed to see that button, the fact that you saw it is a bug. A terrible bug. When you clicked it, you just lost your account. You'll have to contact support to get your playlists on to the new account.

That sounds like an absolutely devastating bug, because if you somehow disconnected from Facebook, you have made your account inaccessible. Do you still see your playlists? Just some knowledge: Accounts created through Facebook are given a username with a bunch of random numbers. However, you're never supposed to see these numbers - if you do, the issue is with your connection to Facebook.

This problem happens with version 0.8.5.1333. Stop re-installing what you have and download the newest version from the Spotify website. If you're one of those people who hate the new versions, get version 0.8.5.1356.

Just make a Spotify account with a username that has something to do with your blog. Special names with spaces and capital letters are only for artists and Facebook real names.

Is she logging in using Facebook? If she is, it's likely that the account was made a long time ago by clicking a shared Spotify song link on Facebook. Doing that automatically gives your facebook account details to Spotify.

I'm not sure if artist accounts are different from normal accounts, but this is how a regular user gets rid of Facebook: Under preferences, just click "Disconnect from Facebook" and you're done. Connecting a Spotify account to Facebook pages is not possible, it has to be a personal account. The listen button in Facebook pages is different and you'll have to contact Facebook to get that.

Just go to preferences and click "Disconnect from Facebook". If you don't see the option, log out and back in with your spotify username/password, not facebook.

It's not possible because Spotify decided not to include a method to log in using Spotify accounts. This means third party apps must use their own accounts or FB to log in. The now playing box has a new annoying thing: that share button. It's taking space from the song title now. Do you really need to have a share button EVERYWHERE? You already have one in front of every track, which is quite annoying, but putting one in the now playing box is getting over the top. It's also quite easy to accidentally click the track title (brings you to the album page) or the artist title (brings you to the artist's page) instead of the blank space behind them. I don't see a purpose linking to the album page, because the artist page already lists all the albums. A small fix could be to make the track title unclickable, but keep the clickable artist name. It's not too hard to get used to how it is right now, though, so there may be no fix needed.

You can save up to 3333 tracks on an iPod Touch with the Spotify app. To do so, create playlists and make them "available offline" on the iOS app on the iPod Touch. You can't save music on other ipods or MP3 players.

If you signed up through Facebook, you can't switch. You become connected to Facebook permanently if you do that. If you make a separate Spotify account, you can connect and disconnect with Facebook at any time you want so it's ALWAYS a better option. You don't lose any features as you can connect to Facebook anyway.

They have broken 0.8.5 on all platforms. You have no choice but to wait for a fix again, the problem seems to be server side and it has something to do with the What's New page and other webpages, like Spotify Apps. Alternatively you could find the latest 0.6.x version for Mac somewhere and use the "read-only update files" trick to prevent an update to 0.8.5. That version does not have a browser inside and it has been working fine so far. Note that this version does not have the Facebook friend feed or Spotify Apps.

Some artists may do criminal acts in their life. It doesn't make their music non existant, though. As Spotify's goal is to have all the world's music on the service, it should not be removed just because of a crime an artist has committed.

No, Spotify accounts never use the same login information as Facebook accounts. To log in with Spotify details, you have to type in a username, not an email to the first field. If you signed up with your Facebook account, it is not possible to disconnect and you have to make a new account. If you are trying to deactivate Facebook, check your email - it may have been reactivated again by Spotify.

You don't need a Facebook account. When you sign up, you are given a choice to either access Spotify with a Facebook account or to create a separate Spotify account. You have chosen to use your Facebook account, so obviously you have to keep it active!
