How many devices can I run Spotify on with my premium individual account? For example, can I run on my phone and on my TV at the same time?
Hey @BayDreamer214,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the Chats section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.
On Spotify, you can open your account on as many devices as you want, and download content on up to 5 of them, but it's not possible to play different songs at the same time using the same account. This means that if you have your account open on 2 different devices at the same time, you'll need to choose just one of them to play your music.
Hope this clarifies things a bit. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
I have a similar problem. However, I have the feeling that my challenge relates to number of devices or users.
When listen via Sonos with Spotify at home and then using Spotify via mobile phone, they can’t play at the same time. When I leave the house , my family can’t continue to listen.
this is not a problem ie with Apple Music. There a link to Sonos does not create any problems
I have 5 devices which are:
iphone, ipad, MacBook, android tv & smart tv…so shouldn’t be any issue rite? They can sync the same playlist n library?
Hi there @hafizharudin,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, you can freely access your library from all of those, albeit without playing at the same time.
Let us know if you need anything else.
Can I download music on both of my devices, like I have android and Apple, and i listen offline on both devices.?
Myself and my 2 daughters all work and want to listen at the same time when on our way. Currently have Duo membership but have no idea how to use it. If I am on it and my daughter starts playing a song it bumps me out!
Hey @_Duckworth and @MrsB1973,
Welcome to the thread!
@_Duckworth like @OscarDC mentioned in his response, you can download content on up to 5 devices so you can listen offline. More info on downloading and Offline Mode you can find here.
@MrsB1973 the reason why Spotify bumps you out when your daughter starts listening is because you're logged in to the same account, but no worries. If it's you and your 2 daughters, then perhaps Premium Family is a more suitable subscription as it's for 6 people living together. Each of you needs to have their own Spotify account (with your personal credentials) in order to log in on your separate devices and listen without interrupting each other. I recommend checking out this help article to find out how it works.
Hope this info helps clear things up and don't hesitate to let us know if you've got any other questions 🙂
With Spotify Premium, you can have content on 5 devices. Does that number go up with Spotify Duo? What about Spotify Family?
We live in uk, have premium and yet are on holiday in italy. Logged into my iPad in italy and cant see premium features like download when logged in with my premium account. I only have an android and Mac with content on. I did change my country to Italy
Holaaa, estoy pagando premium para un dispositivo, pero lo quiero pasar a m. Tengo premium en la tablet pero lo necesito en el celular
Just put one of the devices into offline mode and let it play the downloaded library.
