I can't switch countries in my settings

Hi there,

 

I have a Danish Spotify account, but I live and study in the UK and I wanted to take advantage of the UniDays discount offer. However, even though I logged in to my student page and was redirected back to Spotify, I got a message that I was not eligible for the discount. I figured it was because my account settings were Danish and that it was connected to my Danish credit card. I followed the support intructions and connected my account to my British credit card instead, successfully. However, even though my account is now connected to a British card, my account settings - under Profile - is still set to DK - Danish. How do I change this? The drop-down box does not work. I can't click on it and change my country, and this means that my account is not considered eligible for the UniDays discount, even though I am indeed eligible.

Welcome to Spotify Community!

You have to go to this page and select "Change country" at the bottom.

If the direct link doesn't work for you follow the guide below:

  1. Go to your account page here
  2. Under your Spotify Premium click "Update details" button
  3. Click "Update details"
  4. Click the triple dot that's next to VISA/Mastercard icon 
  5. Select "Change country" at the bottom
