You don’t need a SSN to purchase Premium with Spotify.

We know the page to sign up for premium, but it requires the social security number. If we try to move on with the payment without this number, it doesn't go through. We don't have this number in Brazil? What are we supposed to do? I wanted to sign up for premium too but now honestly not anymore

Apologies for the confusion.

The number you need to put in is your CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas). If the payment is not going through after entering the correct number, check out the Brazilian version of this article for more troubleshooting steps.

OK, so there's two issues:

1. CPF is wrongly translated as Social Security Number.
2. Some people don’t have a CPF, like me (a tourist in Brazil).

For those who don’t have a CPF, instead of asking the government to give you one or using a random one to proceed with payment, you can just Google to find the payment link for your country. That’s how I solved it.
