NUS Extra 50% Discount Help Please

Hi

I currently have a Spotify Premium account in my name, for which I pay £9.99 a month.

My wife has a NUS Extra card in her name and I was wondering if this could be used on my account to receive the 50% discount for 12 months?

Will it still work even though when inputing her NUS number it does also ask for her date of birth. This will obviously not tie up with my DOB which is in my account details.
